Background
The new proposals at Little Chalfont Park will provide much needed new homes in a high quality landscaped setting, including the potential for affordable housing and provision for the elderly, a new primary school and nursery, community hub and valley park, improvements to junctions on the A404 and public transport infrastructure, and pedestrian routes and cycleways. The Little Chalfont Park site is located adjacent to the existing employment site on Lodge Lane. You can also click here to view the background exhibition boards.
Community Consultation
As a first step, we asked to hear your views about Little Chalfont and your ideas for the future of the Little Chalfont Park site to help us develop the initial Vision. We asked what you “like” and “dislike” about Little Chalfont and the area around the former golf course and your ideas for the new neighbourhood itself.
The first stage of consultation closed on 23 August 2021 and we assessed the comments received to feed to the design team as they prepared the Vision for the site. This Vision was reported back to the community via Zoom on Wednesday 15 September 2021.
The Zoom presentation was recorded and can be viewed below. In addition, the presentation slides are also available to view in pdf format here. A newsletter was delivered to the Little Chalfont community summarising the Vision and asking for comments. It can be downloaded here.
Comments received on the Vision have helped shape the planning submission proposals which were presented on 20 October 2021.
