Emmet joined JTP in 2013 and became a Partner in 2018. He is an architect and urban designer and leads a number of our large mixed-use regeneration projects. His expertise extends across a variety of sectors including high-density housing, education, commercial and large-scale masterplanning.

Emmet is passionate about context and landscape, and strives to create site specific places, that thrive aesthetically, ecologically and socially. Through his projects, Emmet aims to create places which are healthy, walkable and well connected, which make an essential contribution to sustainable communities.

Emmet is currently leading our large regeneration projects at Beckton Riverside and Poplar Riverside in east London, and The Green Quarter in Southall delivering a high-density, mixed-use masterplan for 3,750 homes, As well as leading the placemaking and design strategy, Emmet coordinated the design team in the delivery of the Outline Planning Application for the site and lead the detailed design of the first housing phase for 620 homes which included 300 affordable homes in London’s first strategic Housing Zone.

Alongside these projects, Emmet also led the team working on Crown Wharf in Newham which will deliver 850 homes on the River Lea in Canning Town and The Nicholson Quarter project in Maidenhead transforming an obsolete, outdated 1960s single-use shopping centre into a new, vibrant, mixed-use quarter. The project is one of the first ‘shopping centre to town centre’ regeneration initiatives in the UK, designed specifically to address the changing landscape of high streets in our towns and cities.

For a number of years Emmet ran a diploma unit at the University of Sheffield School of Architecture and was a member of the Hertfordshire Design Review Panel. He has tutored Urban Design at University College London and taught at the University of the Arts, London.
