Robert Lansberry
Architect
BA (Hons) MArch

Robert is an Architect at JTP after graduating from his Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. His thesis project at university was a study of how to make and place architecture at the edge of the northern temperate zones along latitude 64° N. Through research, Robert discovered how communities have rooted themselves in their surroundings and importantly what the rest of the world can learn from them.

As a continuation to his studies, Robert spent two years living in Oslo where he worked on residences and holiday homes for private, domestic clients.

Since joining JTP, Robert has been assisting in developing the masterplan and architecture for Shenley Wood – a 300 home neighbourhood in Milton Keynes. He has been involved in multiple phases for this site including a Hybrid Planning Application, a Detailed RMA and undertaken an Executive Architect/Design Guardian role, developing the architecture for the house types and apartments

Robert is also working on Phase 3 of Weyside Urban Village delivering a Passivhaus Detailed Application for 200 homes. Having conducted a detailed analysis of the local area, Robert has developed internal apartment layout and the design of deck access apartment buildings. Alongside this, Robert led an office refurbishment in Vauxhall developing material strategy and detailed fit-out drawing packages to illustrate design intent.

Outside of the studio, Robert likes to get out and explore. He enjoys open water swimming, running and hiking most weekends, provided he is not stripping walls or sanding floors in his new flat!

Our people are the heart of who we are.
