Following the Land North & East of Ware Community Planning Event in May, around 1000 people from the local community attended the Masterplanning Framework Consultation at Ware Priory to view and comment on the emerging proposals for the site to help plan Ware’s new community. View the exhibition boards here and the broadsheet here.
Land North & East of Ware has been allocated in the adopted District Plan for a residential-led, mixed-use development of 1,000 homes, with a further 500 homes subject to suitable highways mitigation measures. Ptarmigan Land and JTP are keen to work closely with the local community to help shape the new proposals and contribute to an emerging Masterplanning Framework Document (MFD). To this end, we facilitated a Community Planning Event in May to create a Vision for the land, which was attended by over 700 local people. The exhibition on 16 & 18 July was a chance to view the outcomes from this event and study the emerging Masterplan Framework for the site. We welcome any comments you have on the emerging proposals to help shape Ware’s new neighbourhood.
Following the exhibition, and after all comments have been fully considered, a final version of the MFD will be produced and submitted to the District Council for approval. Once approved, all development at the site will need to comply with the contents of the MFD.
If you were unable to attend the exhibition event, the exhibition panels are available here for review and comment. Please submit comments to email@example.com.
Land North & East of Ware Community Planning Event was held at Ware Prior on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May to help us plan Ware’s new community! View the event flyer here and the background exhibition boards here.
We at JTP are assisting Ptarmigan Land in drawing up a scheme for the site and are seeking local input to make sure that it will reflect local character and relate well to the existing town and surrounding parishes. We want local people to help us better understand the area, create a Vision to shape the new community, and contribute to an emerging Masterplanning Framework Document (MFD) for the development. This fact-finding stage was just the beginning and we will be engaging with you again before a draft document is submitted to the District Council for approval, once it is happy to agree it. When the MFD has been agreed, all development at the site will need to comply with the contents.
This event was the first chance to join in and help shape the new community – everyone was welcome! People could view an exhibition and leave comments, or join one of our workshops to really get involved.
