Liz is an Associate Director and Senior Architect at JTP, with extensive experience delivering projects across a wide range of scales and complexities. Liz specialises in residential design and has secured a number of planning consents across London in complex brownfield locations, working closely with the client, consultants, planning officers and local amenity groups to achieve well-designed solutions. Liz’s experience within residential-led masterplans ranges from initial concept design through to implementation.

Her notable projects include the transformation of the Former Government Offices in Tolworth into a residential-led neighbourhood of 950 homes within the Royal Borough of Kingston; the unanimous approval of Thornhill Park, Oxford, a new community comprising over 400 apartments and houses, a hotel and the refurbishment of an existing building into a cutting-edge innovation centre; and Lewisham Exchange, the world’s tallest modular student accommodation building delivering 758 student homes and 67 affordable homes, which Liz supported from initial concept to completion on site.

Since joining JTP in 2016, Liz has established herself as the practice’s in-house sustainability lead, co-ordinating JTP’s sustainability champions and the development of in-house resources, driving the practice’s Routemap to 2030. Liz was involved in the design of JTP’s new studio, Pennington Street Warehouse and was responsible for ensuring the company succeeded in creating a sustainable, healthy, VOC-free studio.

Beyond JTP, Liz is an active contributor to industry-wide sustainability initiatives. She is a member of the coordination committee of the Architectural Practices Heads of Sustainability Group, championing open-source knowledge sharing across the profession. She has also contributed to the Architects Declare Practice Guide working group, sharing her expertise in health, wellbeing and post-occupancy evaluation. In 2023, Liz was selected for the UK Green Building Council’s Future Leaders Cohort, collaborating on research into shifting mindsets around the circular economy and helping to advance sustainability leadership within both practice and the wider built environment.

Liz is also a Part III tutor and examiner at the University of Westminster, supporting students as they qualify as architects. Within JTP, she mentors and guides the practice’s architectural assistants, fostering professional development and nurturing the next generation of architects.
