Fran is an Associate in JTP’s London Studio, currently leading a number of major residential-led planning applications across the UK. With over 10 years of professional experience, she has worked across a wide range of high and low-density projects in both urban and rural settings, delivering complex schemes from early masterplanning through to planning approval and detailed design.
Since joining JTP, Fran has played a pivotal role in numerous award-winning places, including several significant London projects with exemplary standards of colocation of uses, mix of tenures, biodiversity net gain and whole life carbon standards. These experiences extend across a range of project types, and include a modular student accommodation scheme in Lewisham delivering 758 student homes and 67 affordable homes; the mixed-use neighbourhood Fulton & Fifth in Wembley; and the regeneration of Maidenhead Town Centre delivering the mixed-use destination at Nicholson Quarter featuring 750 build-to-rent homes and 100 elderly living homes.
Fran has worked on a built-to-rent housing project in Cheshire East and has also been involved in the project team transforming Crown Wharf in Newham. The new neighbourhood will provide 860 new homes and be supported by employment uses to act as a mixed-use hub to enrich the wider area of Canning Town. Her wider portfolio in London also includes two significant residential-led projects in Barnet.
In her current role, Fran leads multidisciplinary teams on large-scale regeneration projects, with a strong focus on collaboration, sustainability and innovative design solutions to unlock constrained sites. She champions community engagement and co-design as central to the success of her work, bringing a clear understanding of stakeholder priorities and local context to deliver places that add lasting social, economic and environmental value.
Fran is passionate about promoting greater diversity in the built environment, ensuring underrepresented voices are heard. She is a member of the Young Architects and Developers Alliance (YADA), the Academy of Urbanism, the Urban Land Institute and Women in Property, and seeks opportunities to embed inclusive principles within her work to help create more balanced and equitable places.
Alongside projects, Fran is actively involved in the organisation and delivery of a number of social value initiatives at JTP, including recruitment, mentoring and portfolio and interview support with the charity Blueprint for All. She is also a part-time Teaching Fellow at the University of Bath and supports emerging designers at the Royal Academy of Art as an alumna, reflecting her commitment to nurturing future talent within the profession. In recognition of her contribution to the residential sector, Fran was recently crowned Winner of Property Week’s RESi Trailblazer Award, celebrating the brightest talents and emerging stars in the UK property market.
