Carl is an Associate at JTP and a certified Passive House Designer, specialising in the delivery of complex, large-scale urban regeneration and mixed-use projects across the UK. He also leads JTP’s Carbon Working Group as a Sustainability Champion.
At JTP, Carl worked on the masterplan for The Green Quarter, a dynamic new urban quarter in West London comprising 3,750 homes and extensive mixed-uses, including a Reserved Matters Application for the first phase of the regeneration. Carl also worked on a high-density, build-to-rent project at Ferrum, Wembley South West Lands which sits adjacent to Wembley Stadium and delivers 741 new homes, alongside extensive residential facilities. At Poplar Riverside, Carl has contributed to the regeneration of the former gasworks overlooking the River Lea which will deliver 2,800 private and affordable homes, along with a new secondary school and flexible space for employment, enterprise and leisure.
More recently, Carl led the town centre regeneration of The Nicholsons Quarter in Maidenhead, which will see the revitalisation of an existing shopping centre into a new people-focussed town centre destination, providing a range of housing, retail, leisure, office and later-living accommodation alongside a new public square. JTP won the Stakeholder Engagement category at the Planning Awards 2022 for our extensive engagement process which was praised by judges for JTP’s innovative approach to engagement with the young and disabled community.
Following his original work on The Nicholson Quarter, Carl proceeded to lead the refinement and update to the design proposals that responded to evolving market conditions. This culminated in an updated planning approval for 850 homes which was granted unanimous planning approval by Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in 2025.
Other projects in his portfolio include the mixed-use neighbourhood of 759 homes at Fulton and Fifth located on the fringe of Wembley Park, alongside several high-density student accommodation projects in Brent.
