Anis joined JTP as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant after completing his bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Kingston University.
His thesis project, ‘Tree States of Matter’, proposed a climate centre within Richmond Park that explored notions of comfort in the changing climate of 2050. The proposal incorporated a visitor centre and live-work residence, using trees as spatial and climatic devices and timber, in its raw, weathered, and processed forms to express rhythm, tactility, and patina. Inspired by Japanese joinery and the Walter Segal method, the demountable timber structures fused vernacular, modern, and contextual sensibilities.
Anis’ design approach is grounded in material honesty, contextual sensitivity and craftsmanship. He enjoys thinking through the design process to curate spatial sequences that shape movement and atmosphere, and is passionate about weaving site, history and ecology into purposeful architecture that connects people, place and nature.
At JTP, Anis is contributing to several residential projects and masterplans, including projects in Kingston and Tonbridge. Since joining, he has worked on site and heritage analysis, visual studies, and early design development, with a growing interest in shaping narrative-led placemaking.
Outside the studio, Anis enjoys travelling, photography, football, and his newfound passion – scuba diving. He is also a keen fragrance enthusiast.
