Thien Hee Tey
Architectural Assistant
BA (Hons) MA MArch

Thien joined JTP as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant after completing his MArch at London Metropolitan University, alongside an MA in Urban Design. His thesis explored the dialectical experience between urban and rural systems, proposing an alternative cityscape for Coventry rooted in adaptive reuse and ecological urbanism. His Urban Design thesis, which received the Pamela Mann Prize, examined social and spatial injustice through collaborative work with marginalised communities.

Thien has experience across architectural and urban design projects, from residential-led, mixed-use developments to strategic masterplanning and Design Codes. Since joining JTP, he has contributed to the vision and masterplan framework for Elton Reservoir in Greater Manchester as well as a mixed-tenure new community in Cambridge, focusing on placemaking, sustainability and landscape-led design.

In his free time, Thien enjoys exploring London’s parks with his dog Oliver, hunting for treasures at flea markets, and filling his travel sketchbook.

Our people are the heart of who we are.
