Over 180 visitors joined us to explore the Grade 2 Listed warehouse which JTP imaginatively transformed into a healthy, creative, collaborative and sustainable architectural studio.
Guided tours shared the fascinating stories of the history of the warehouse, its previous uses and occupants and that of the surrounding London Dock area. During the tours, visitors were told of JTP’s ambitions and challenges in transforming the warehouse into a reimagined, unique workplace.
Guests were particularly interested to learn how the studio was designed to encourage health, sustainability and wellbeing and our passion from the design outset to create a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) free working environment. Our goal was achieved with a post-occupancy air quality assessment of “undetectable” and a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating. This was very well aligned with the festival’s theme of ‘Architecture and Wellbeing’, and we were proud to promote our efforts in accomplishing this objective.
