Described by one guest as “setting a new benchmark for anniversary celebrations”, for us, celebrating 30 years wasn’t just about looking back – it was also about looking forward. In the spirit of looking ahead, our anniversary also celebrated the emerging talent in our practice and industry. We encouraged our guests to bring along a ‘rising star’ from their organisation, shining a spotlight on future placemakers who will shape future neighbourhoods and communities. This was a well-received initiative by our clients, and we welcomed over 25 ‘rising stars’ to join the celebrations, meet our team and represent the next generation.

A special highlight of the evening were the speeches from some of JTP’s ‘rising stars’ – Tom Rimmington, Natalie Ballone and Jeevan Chahal. Tom shared the key role he has played in the creation and launch of JTP Engages which was followed by Natalie who shared its successful application on one of her projects – Chrisp Street, Poplar with Telford Homes and Poplar HARCA – creating tailored engagement that reached a broader demographic in the local Poplar community. Sharing his own experience as an Architectural Apprentice at JTP, Jeevan welcomed our guests’ ‘rising stars’ as those bringing new perspectives in shaping future places and communities.

As part of this milestone, we were proud to showcase two initiatives that look ahead to our future: JTP Engages, our refreshed and more inclusive approach to collaborative placemaking, and our Future of Place research, which captures the priorities and visions of the next generation. Curated as an exhibition in our Charrette Room, the display offered a snapshot into our commitment to designing places with meaningful and inspiring collaboration.
