Delivered under the Rushmoor Development Partnership, an investment partnership between Rushmoor Borough Council and The Hill Group, the regeneration of Union Street has set the benchmark establishing a distinctive, mixed-use town centre with high-quality offerings for retail, leisure, culture, employment and housing to create a bustling and inspiring new quarter with key connections and a landscaped public realm.

The ambitious redevelopment features 100 new homes, 12 flexible commercial and retail spaces, and purpose-built accommodation for 128 students from the nearby University for the Creative Arts, who moved in last autumn.

At the heart of the project is a dynamic public realm, featuring a new square and ‘Makers’ Yard’, where eight creative spaces are available for small and independent businesses. Designed to foster creativity and enterprise, this space provides a dedicated hub for local makers and artisans.

The completion of Union Yard marks a significant milestone in Aldershot’s ongoing regeneration, breathing new life into the community.
