JTP is working with Trivselhus UK to take forward a proposed residential development site at land west of London Road in Newport, Essex.

Background

The development site currently has planning consent for 94 homes plus a community hall. Trivselhus and JTP are developing design proposals for the site for just over 90 homes. The new designs seek to create an attractive and high-quality addition to Newport, respecting the local character, materials and forms found in the area.

The homes will all be built by Trivselhus to impressive environmental performance standards using a highly sustainable, advanced timber frame construction system. They will range in size, from one to five bedroom dwellings, and will provide a significant number of new affordable homes for Newport.

Design work on the proposals is at an early stage, and we welcome input and comments from Newport residents to help shape the final design. The current outline design can be viewed in the document below.


Presentation

Trivselhus and their design team attended an Extraordinary Meeting of Newport Parish Council on Monday 24 February to discuss the project and to present their initial thoughts on the design.
