Third Phase of Falstaff Gets Go Ahead

JTP is delighted to have received planning approval from Sheffield City Council for the third and final phase of Falstaff, one in a series of transformative neighbourhood renewal projects for Sheffield Housing Company.

The site, located within the Parson Cross interwar housing estate, is situated three miles north east of Sheffield city centre. The proposals form a continuation of phases 1 and 2, also designed by JTP, which are now complete and mostly occupied.

A bespoke range of 101 contemporary family homes has been designed to complement the surrounding neighbourhood pattern, drawing upon the character, materials and forms of Falstaff. The design seamlessly integrates new streetscapes, open spaces, linkages and a broad choice of housing types.

Our work at Falstaff is part of Sheffield Housing Company’s pioneering housebuilding programme, delivering much needed affordable homes across Sheffield in quantities private developers have been unable to achieve.

Sheffield Housing Company is Sheffield City Council’s joint venture development company, established with private sector construction partner Keepmoat and Great Places Housing Group. Its goal is to improve the quality and choice of housing across the city, while creating jobs, encouraging investment and supporting the communities in which it works.

Work is due to begin on site towards the end of this year, and completion is due in 2021.
