An exhibition is being held to outline the proposed refinements to the masterplan for the Southall Gasworks site.

The masterplan exhibition details are as follows:

The site is 33 ha and is located within the London Borough of Ealing, bordering the London Borough of Hillingdon to the west.

Planning permission was granted in 2010 for the regeneration of the site, which was subsequently acquired by St James.

JTP have been commissioned to develop a mixed-use masterplan and alongside HED Landscape and Vectos Transport, we are developing masterplan, architecture and landscape design proposals for the gasworks, which sit alongside the Great Western Railway between the Grand Union Canal and Southall Station.

The development will provide 20 ha of public realm and parkland, 3,750 new homes in a range of different sizes and tenures and commercial uses including a cinema, food store and hotel. The development includes two new footbridges over the canal to Minet Country Park to the west, and is a significant development site within the GLA's Opportunity Area Planning Framework.
