Section 73 Approval for Hogarth Business Park, Chiswick

The Section 73 Application for Berkeley Homes, to amend their approved planning permission for the residential-led development of the site currently known as Hogarth Business Park, has been approved by London Borough of Hounslow.

The approved re-development proposals will deliver 173 residential homes in a mix of apartments and houses, with 928 sqm of commercial floorspace.

JTP were tasked with building on the key principles established in the previously approved development by creating a series of small design amendments to further enhance the current approval and agreed layout and massing. The JTP team aimed to incorporate a more traditional vernacular into the scheme, drawing on the local context of the site's location within the Chiswick House and Gardens Conservation Area. The historic use of the site traced from orchards in 1866 through terraced houses and a factory in 1935 (the former Cherry Blossom Boot Polish factory) also inspired elements of the design approach.
