JTP Unveils Move to London Dock, Wapping

Award winning placemaking practice JTP has been confirmed as the first permanent occupiers of London Dock in Wapping.  The architects and masterplanners will relocate from their current studios in summer 2017 to the historic Pennington Street Warehouse.

Managing Partner Marcus Adams said “London Dock is a hidden gem. Superbly located immediately to the east of The City. The area is undergoing transformational change, as new public realm connects Tobacco Dock to St Katharines Docks.

As placemakers JTP are delighted to be involved in this regeneration and play an active part in the creative quarter."

"The Pennington Street Warehouse is a unique and remarkable historic building which offers so much exciting potential for our new studio. Within the bonded warehouse, the openness of the upper floor space will contrast with the intimacy of the brick vaulted lower floor, connected by a dramatic new void and bringing natural daylight  into the heart of the building.

In 2008 we used our last office relocation to apply our expertise to achieve an exemplary upgrade of a 1920s warehouse by embedding environmental sustainability within the refurbishment, winning numerous awards including the City of London Sustainable Building of the Year in 2010. At the Pennington Street Warehouse, JTP will build upon this knowledge and success in designing our new studio and are currently engaged in an innovative participatory process with our staff in developing a brief for their future workspace.”
