JTP shortlisted for six Planning & Placemaking Awards

The Planning & Placemaking Awards 2019 recognise “excellence in planning-related activities such as placemaking, urban design, economic development, housing [and] regeneration.”

JTP’s shortlisted projects represent some of our most significant current regeneration work across the UK.

Alconbury Weald, in Cambridgeshire, transforms a former Cold War airfield to create a significant new mixed-use neighbourhood for Urban&Civic, and is shortlisted for Best Mixed-Use Development and Best Use of Brownfield Land in Placemaking.

St Clement’s, the regeneration of a former Victorian workhouse and hospital in Mile End for Linden Homes and the GLA, which includes London’s first Community Land Trust, is shortlisted for the Award for Community-Led Placemaking and Best Use of Heritage in Placemaking.

And Lenton Gardens, the transformation of five 1960’s high-rise tower blocks to create a new neighbourhood comprising 145 council-owned homes structured around streets and spaces, for Nottingham City Homes, is shortlisted for Best Regeneration and Best Use of Brownfield Land in Placemaking.

The winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony at RIBA London, on Tuesday 4 June 2019.
