JTP secures planning approval for the next phases at Knowle Park, Cranleigh

JTP’s proposals for phases 2 and 3 at Knowle Park in Cranleigh, submitted on behalf of A2Dominion and Nicholas King Homes have received planning approval from Waverley Borough Council.

Located in Surrey, the Knowle Park site covers a total of 38 hectares. Phase 2 and 3 for 192 homes forms part of the wider landscape-led masterplan and feature a series of distinctive character areas which respond to the different conditions across the site.

The dwellings will be grouped in an organic, informal arrangement and reflect the local character, with contemporary interpretations of the architectural forms and features evident in Cranleigh – including gables, barn style architecture, bays and the combination of materials. The homes will be offered in a variety of house types, sizes and tenures including an affordable housing provision to support a socially sustainable and diverse community.

Surrounded by mature treelines, lakes and meadows, materials comprise soft finishes including timber boarding and red brickwork with clay tiles. The designs enhance the site’s ecological value and ensure the natural assets are optimised for residents to enjoy easy access to an outdoor life. A series of green fingers within the masterplan allows all homes to either overlook a green or blue landscape, which will be emphasised through the use of increased glazing within each home to create a strong indoor-outdoor connection.
