JTP celebrates the longlisting of two architects at this year’s RIBAJ’s Rising Stars

We are delighted that Liz Liddell-Grainger and Ivana Stanisic, both Associates at JTP, have been longlisted for the prestigious RIBAJ’s Rising Stars 2020.

Liz and Ivana join twenty-nine other talented professionals who have made the competition longlist, which this year has a focus on climate activism, beautiful design and digital innovation.

Instrumental in manifesting the company’s ethos, Liz and Ivana are testament to the talented individuals at the practice. Liz is JTP’s sustainability champion and was a key individual in the design of the new London studio, Pennington Street Warehouse. She was responsible for ensuring we succeeded our ambitions to create a sustainable, healthy, VOC-free studio – one that achieved the BREEAM accreditation.

Ivana communicates the value of high-quality, beautiful designs and has a depth of understanding about the importance of this for communities. Since joining JTP in 2014, Ivana’s drive has instigated many successes for the practice, and she has been crucial in helping the team win numerous major competitions and work in Russia.

This year’s cohort will be selected by a wide array of judges from across the industry including Mary Arnold-Forster, Mary Arnold-Forster Architects; Joanna Asia Grzybowska, Rising Star 2019, Powell Tuck Associates and Mycelium Associates; Klaus Bode, Urban Systems Design; Jo Dimitri, National Trust; Alex Ely, Mae Architects; Shahed Saleem, Makespace Architects and University of Westminster; and the RIBA Journal’s Eleanor Young.

The shortlist will be announced on 16 November with the eventual named winning cohort being unveiled between 3 and 4 December. We wish Liz and Ivana the very best of luck in the next stages of the competition.
