John Thompson interviewed by Zhousan TV

JTP Chairman John Thompson was recently interviewed by regional Chinese station Zhousan TV. Zhousan TV interviewed John to find out more about the exciting new town development at Changzhi Island located approximately 200 miles south of Shanghai.

JTP have been working with client Greentown on several projects since developing the original masterplan for Changzhi five years ago. Now John and his team are in China to work on designing Changzhi's town centre.

In the interview John explained the concept behind Changzhi was to create an ideal new town ‘for people to live, to work, to play and to visit.' John went on to explain the key elements of the Vision for Changzhi. The key principles are to create a walkable place, with places for people to enjoy themselves in a mixed use centre and ‘timeless buildings with a European character which are also relevant for Chinese culture.'
