Civic Voice publish Collaborative Planning for All guide with support from JTP

On Friday 24 October 2014 Civic Voice, formerly the Civic Trust, launched 'Localism for Real', their new manifesto which promotes collaborative, Charrette-based planning. In support of this, JTP have worked with Civic Voice to publish a new guide entitled 'Collaborative Planning for All'.

'Collaborative Planning for All' describes the benefits and methodology of public Charrettes (also known as Community Planning Events) and features a range of case studies. The guide includes a foreword by Civic Voice President, Griff Rhys Jones, an introduction by Civic Voice Chair, Freddie Gick and endorsements by John Thompson, Chair of JTP and Honorary President of The Academy of Urbanism and Wulf Daseking, Freiburg's former chief planner.

Charles Campion, JTP Partner for Collaborative Planning said, "We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Civic Voice to produce this guide. JTP have pioneered collaborative planning in the UK over the last 20 years and we hope that, as a result of the Civic Voice campaign, more and more communities will have the opportunity to genuinely participate in shaping their places."
