Mickle Well Park Community Planning Day

The local community was invited to attend the Mickle Well Park Daventry Community Planning Day to help create a Vision for a sustainable new neighbourhood on land to the north of Daventry.

Background
The 38 hectare site is located on the northern edge of Daventry, north of the Lang Farm housing development and adjoining existing public open space. It has the capacity to provide a new neighbourhood of up to 500 market sale and affordable homes and a number of plots for self-build. The development would bring the opportunity for significant investment in local community infrastructure.

Landform Estates & Orbit Homes are promoting this site and have appointed John Thompson & Partners as masterplanners and to work with the local community to develop a Vision for the new neighbourhood.

The Community Planning Day
The Community Planning Day was an opportunity to share local knowledge and contribute to planning the new neighbourhood through workshops and hands-on planning groups. There was also an exhibition providing details of the site, its characteristics and its context. Team members were on hand to answer questions.
