Fort Halstead Public Exhibition

The local community was invited to a two-day public exhibition at the Fort Halstead staff canteen on Friday 3 & Saturday 4 October 2014.

Armstrong (Kent) LLP is bringing forward an outline planning application on the site in line with the release of Sevenoaks District Council’s revised Allocations and Development Management Plan, which states that the most sustainable means of ensuring continued employment at Fort Halstead would be as part of an employment-led mixed-used development. The proposals include approximately 19 hectares of employment space, specialised laboratories to enable QinetiQ to remain at the site, an interpretation centre, a cricket pitch and pavilion, a local shop/café hotel and 450 new homes.

This exhibition was open to everyone and members from the project team were on hand to talk through the exhibition and answer any questions.
