Tom Rimmington

Architectural Assistant

Tom joined JTP as a Part II Architectural Assistant after completing her Masters in Architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff.

Recently, Tom has gained extensive experience in low density, mixed-use masterplanning projects in the southeast, including the urban extension at Manydown in Basingstoke. This project will eventually provide 3,500 new homes however Tom has been focusing on the Phase 1 Design Code for around 1,200 homes. Alongside this, Tom has produced a Vision for Oldbury Lane in Thornbury as well as attending all possible Community Planning Weekends.

Tom is extremely passionate about community engagement and the importance of co-design throughout all stages of a design project. Having taken a deep dive into the topic in his Masters thesis, Tom has enjoyed translating those lessons into real practise via Community Planning Weekends in Harrington and Berinsfield as well as promoting new innovative engagement methods within JTP.

Out of hours, Tom is a keen sportsman, filling his weekends with football, tennis, running, cycling or climbing. As well as this Tom enjoys music production and a regular bedroom DJ set.
