Shanice Abbey

Architectural Assistant
BSc Architectural Studies

Shanice joined JTP as a Part I Architectural Assistant after graduating from her degree in Architectural Studies at Cardiff University.

Since joining JTP, Shanice has assisted on concept designs and graphic material for Design and Access Statements and Design Codes. She is currently contributing to a mixed-use neighbourhood of 2,350 new dwellings alongside community infrastructure at Chesterton Farm in Cirencester. Through this project, she has continued her passion for creativity, experimentation, and collaboration within a team environment.

Shanice has a keen interest in socially conscious design that is translated through the form and function of a building. In her final year at university, Shanice examined how urban voids can be translated into places of reconciliation and community cohesion. The scheme focussed on the narrative of Irish linen, exploring nuanced approaches to place-based materials as a way of uniting post-industrial communities.

Outside of JTP, Shanice loves cooking, baking, painting, travelling and is also learning how to crochet!
