Robert Lansberry

Architectural Assistant
BA (Hons) MArch

Robert joined JTP as a Part II Architectural Assistant after graduating from his Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. His thesis project at university was a study of how to make and place architecture at the edge of the northern temperate zones along latitude 64° N. Through research, Robert discovered how communities have rooted themselves in their surroundings and importantly what the rest of the world can learn from them.

As a continuation to his studies, Robert spent two years living in Oslo where he worked on residences and holiday homes for private, domestic clients.

On his return to Edinburgh, he has worked on a variety of projects ranging in scale from house extensions and new build homes to a large mixed-use community centre and a rural whisky distillery.

Since joining JTP, Robert has been assisting in developing the masterplan and architecture for a 300 home neighbourhood in Milton Keynes, alongside helping with the refurbishment of the JTP Edinburgh studio.

Outside of the studio, Robert likes to get out and explore. He enjoys open water swimming, running and hiking most weekends, provided he is not stripping walls or sanding floors in his new flat!
