Nigel Bidwell

BA (Hons) BArch RIBA ARB

Nigel is an architect and Partner at JTP with over 15 years’ experience in masterplanning, architecture and urban design.

Nigel is currently leading a number of projects in growth areas to the periphery of Greater London including Woking and Maidenhead; towns reimagining their centres through revitalised public realm in conjunction with higher density residential typologies and supported by excellent links to the capital.

He has also led a broad range of strategic projects for London, including Earl’s Court, Convoy’s Wharf and Old Oak Common.

His expertise lies in creating mixed-use, residential-led neighbourhoods with spaces and streets in which people can positively lead their lives.

Nigel’s work has driven him to address issues our towns and cities are facing today. He has led research into urban densities and mid-rise residential typologies, as well as the opportunities for our built environment with the introduction of connected Autonomous Vehicles. He also has a particular interest in the communication of design narratives through presentation and drawn storytelling.

Nigel actively enjoys understanding and debating design and is currently a member of a number of Design Review Panels, including Hammersmith & Fulham, Wandsworth and Design South East.
