Joshua Cherry

BA (Hons) MArch PgDip ARB RIBA

Joshua joined JTP as an Architectural Assistant after completing his Master of Architecture degree at Portsmouth University, and is now one of the practice’s Associates.

With JTP, Joshua has worked across a range of scales from small residential neighbourhoods to larger mixed-use masterplans. These include the redevelopment of urban brownfield sites, as well as several new neighbourhoods in Surrey delivering high-quality contemporary new homes designed within sensitive natural landscapes.

More recently Joshua’s work has focused on estate regeneration, leading the design team on Daedadalus Waterfront, a former Royal Naval Air Station on the South Coast as well as the Arthur Street estate in Erith. Built in the late 1960’s Arthur Street has since fallen into a poor state of repair and suffers with antisocial behaviour. The regeneration of the estate seeks to create a new high-density neighbourhood that references historic Victorian street patterns and provides new public open space. 320 new homes will be built, of which 80% will be for affordable rent and shared ownership.
