Donald Sayers

BSc (Hons) DipArch

Donald is an architect and Associate at JTP and has been with the practice since 2004. Based in our Edinburgh Studio, Donald has substantial experience of working on residential developments both in the public and private sector, from major residential-led developments and large scale regeneration projects to smaller infill urban infill sites.

His work with JTP includes Manse Road, the award winning residential development in the sensitive conservation area of Dirleton, East Lothian. Donald has been responsible for the design and development of a number of large scale residential led planning submissions, such as Upton in Northampton, Carr Lodge in Doncaster, along with several former mining sites in Yorkshire such as Allerton Bywater. Most recently he has led a team developing the bid and subsequent planning approval for Phase 2 of the regeneration programme to deliver 550 high quality and sustainable homes over several sites for Sheffield City Council, including Falstaff.

He believes in building strong working relationships with clients, other design consultants and stakeholders; and has substantial experience in liaising with local authorities and presenting proposals at design review panels.

Away from the studio, Donald is a keen cyclist, both on and off road.
