Cindy Dos Santos

Associate
BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA

Cindy is an Associate at JTP with extensive experience on a range of residential, mixed-use and masterplan schemes across the UK.

Dickens Yard, a high-density mixed-use development of around 700 residential units was Cindy’s first project at JTP as a Part 1 student. Over a decade on, Dickens Yard is complete and has created a new urban quarter in the heart of the town centre.

Cindy’s other projects include the award winning St Clements Hospital, a former workhouse infirmary in Bow, which is the first urban Community Land Trust in the UK. A respectful setting for the Grade II listed buildings was created, including a sequence of public spaces, new pedestrian routes and the opening up of a former ‘walled’ site.

Further afield, Cindy’s masterplan experience includes Newhall, an urban extension to the town of Harlow which forms part of a wider masterplan for 2,000 new homes. The proposals sought to bring a contrasting and complementary neighbourhood to the adjoining completed phases.

Her recent projects include Barton Farm Phase 2B in Winchester; which forms part of five phases delivering 2,000 new homes. Phase 2B includes mixed uses such as a supermarket, community and office space, nursery and public house, all forming the heart of the development.

Cindy is currently working on the Village Centre at Fort Halstead, a former military site. This hybrid application includes the detailed application for the refurbishment of a Grade II listed building of national military interest and the outline planning application for the remainder of the site. Fort Halstead has been designed to respect the adjacent Fort, celebrate innovation and reflect the site’s military history.

In her spare time, Cindy enjoys cooking, travelling and exploring with her kids.
