Alkis is an Architect and Masterplanner.

Working with JTP since 2003, Alkis has been involved in a variety of high-density large-scale mixed-use projects designed by the practice in the UK, across Europe, Russia, the Middle East and China. He also has extensive knowledge of the design and implementation of new retail and mixed-use residential communities and has led a number of high profile projects through all stages.

Alkis has recently been involved with a number of projects in Moscow and the wider region, where he originally worked for the first time in 2005. He is currently leading the masterplans for new high density residential neighborhoods in the financial district of Moscow.

He also has extensive experience working in China where he first visited in February 2004 to work on a new eco-city masterplan.. He has since been closely involved with the growing portfolio of work in China, developing strategic masterplan proposals for a variety of sites.

His international work includes mixed use masterplans for new communities in Reykjavik in Iceland, Gothenburg in Sweden, Lumumbashi in Democratic Republic of Congo, and more recently the strategic vision for a new leisure led mixed use neighborhood in the outskirts of Warsaw in Poland.

In the UK, Alkis has recently worked as masterplanner on a variety of mixed-used and residential projects, including Medina Yard on the Isle of Wight, Southall Gas Works in London Borough of Ealing, and Battersea Power Station.
Amongst his other responsibilities Alkis has also led the development and adoption of digital related tools and techniques for advanced representations and their implementation in current and new projects. He founded and led the visualisation department since 2004 and in 2008 started the practice wide initiative to switch design tools and workflow to BIM.

Outside of his work at JTP Alkis has taught advanced digital media and architecture design at Westminster University since 2005 and has also been a visiting lecturer in Oxford Brookes, Cardiff and Kingston Universities.

As well as being a collaborator with JTP, Alkis has formed Urban Parametrics Gmbh, in Zug, Switzerland where he currently lives.
