JTP’s proposals for a new neighbourhood of 850 homes and 431m² of commercial use at South West Lands, Wembley have received resolution to grant from Brent Borough Council.
The South West Lands site occupies a pivotal location within the Wembley Regeneration Area, with Station Square at its heart and the iconic Wembley Stadium as its backdrop. It is the gateway from the south, providing transition from the small scale retail and residential activity along Wembley High Road to the large-scale retail and commercial uses in the regeneration area around the Stadium.
The mixed-use residential led scheme will be set around a series of sheltered and south-facing garden squares, offering residents a choice of recreation, relaxation or contemplation within imaginatively landscaped areas. Private balconies and communal roof terraces create valuable amenity space at higher levels as well as offering far-reaching views across the wider area.
The hybrid planning application for this landmark site includes detailed permission for the first phase of 188 homes and the remaining phases in outline.
A detailed planning application is due to be submitted for the remaining homes in early 2017 with construction starting on site in autumn 2017.
