Seeing Is Believing Trip: Wednesday 25 November 10.30am - 2.30pm
A "Seeing is Believing" tour was organised on Wednesday 25 November to take residents from Tibbington on a trip to see the results of estate regeneration in other places.
The trip will be an opportunity to meet local residents who have been through the regeneration process as well as seeing improvements in landscape, housing and community buildings that could be seen on The Tibby as well.
Options Exhibition: Wednesday 4 November
The latest consultation event was the Options Exhibition which was held on Wednesday 4 November in a Marquee on the Open Space opposite the Tibbington Estate Office. Local people were invited to come along and view series of Options which JTP think could work on their estate. The residents were asked to choose which Option they think is best for where they live.
Community Planning Event: Friday 17 & Saturday 18 July 2009
A Community Planning Event facilitated by JTP was held on Friday 17 July and Saturday 18 July 2009. The event involved a Community Walkabout for local residents on to show the JTP team what they like and don't like about the Tibbington Estate. This was followed by a Community Workshop to plan the future of Tibbington Estate.
Background: A New Future for the Tibbington Estate
John Thompson & Partners (JTP) have been selected by Sandwell Council to work with residents from the Tibbington Estate to develop a neighbourhood plan for the area. Between June and December 2009 series of consultation activities have been organised for local people to help plan a new future for where they live.
