Prae Wood Primary School
The local community was invited to a public exhibition of the proposals for new homes on land at King’s Park, King Harry Lane, St Albans. This drop-in event was open to everybody and provided an opportunity to meet the team, find out more about the proposals for the site and leave comments. You can view the exhibition in the PDF's located on the right-hand side.
Background
John Thompson & Partners have been appointed by Linden Limited and Wates Developments to design a new housing scheme on land at King’s Park, King Harry Lane, St Albans.
The principle of development of the site for residential homes has already been established by the two existing outline planning permissions which have determined amongst other things, the number of homes and means of access to the site. The project team is now in the initial stages of preparing more detailed plans ahead of submitting a ‘Reserved Matters’ application later this year and we would welcome your observations and thoughts on the scheme at this early stage.
It is important to note from the outset that the Reserved Matters application will not seek to change the number of homes or the access point determined at the outline stage. It will provide more detail on the design and style of the homes and will set out the proposed approach to drainage, open space, landscaping, road design, parking, etc.
