Extensive consultation with the local community, statutory and non statutory bodies has led to further refinement of our proposals. On 23rd and 25th June 2011 we held an exhibition to show our proposed changes, which were well received.

Fulham Reach Planning Application Exhibition: updated 15/03/11
Around 250 people attended the Fulham Reach (formerly Hammersmith Embankment) Planning Application Exhibition held by St George Central London Ltd. The planning application for Fulham Reach was lodged with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham on 7 February and it has now been registered and given a registration number of 2011/00407/COMB. The documents are available on the Council's website that can accessed here.
The public exhibition provided an opportunity for everyone to view the latest proposals for Fulham Reach, ask questions and make comments. It included models, drawings and computer images of the proposals for Fulham Reach. It took place at the Distillery Lane Centre on Friday 11 March & Saturday 12 March 2011. Members of the project team were on hand to talk through the proposals. The exhibition followed on from the Community Planning Weekend in November 2010 when the Vision for Fulham Reach was created.
Fulham Reach will be a high quality mixed-use scheme, designed to create a vibrant, active and sustainable environment for residents, visitors and the local community. The 7.25 acre brownfield site, located close to Hammersmith’s transport hub and retail centre will offer 750 new homes and around 350 new jobs.
The development will improve pedestrian and cycle access along the Thames Path, create public open space adjacent to the River Thames, including a new square that is surrounded by restaurants and other local facilities. A boat club including boat storage will also be accommodated together with a new pontoon providing access to the river and the foreshore which is being built out as part of the first phase of the development.
St George have also launched a new, dedicated website www.fulhamreach.co.uk which provides information and updates about the proposals including the pdf version of the exhibition.
Fulham Reach Community Forum
Thursday 20 January 2011
Distillery Lane Centre, Distillery Lane
The Fulham Reach Community Forum was open to everybody and provided the opportunity for the community to remain involved in the development of proposals for the site.
The Forum began with a presentation of the latest proposals for Fulham Reach from John Thompson (see PDF download of coloured landscaping plan of latest proposal on right) followed by a question and answer session and discussion around a model of the emerging scheme.
A planning submission is programmed for early February and the community will be invited to an exhibition of the submission proposals shortly afterwards.
A Vision For Hammersmith Embankment Community Planning Weekend
Friday 26 November & Saturday 27 November 2010
Distillery Lane Centre, Hammersmith
Following the Community Planning Weekend the design team, led by JTP, analysed and summarised the outcomes and developed an illustrated Vision and indicative masterplan which was reported back to the local community on Wednesday 8 December at Melcombe Primary School.
At the Community Planning Weekend participants had the chance to take part in topic workshops, walkabouts and hands-on planning groups to explore local and site specific issues and possible solutions. People were welcome to pop in for a short while, a few hours or for one or both days if they can. Team members were on hand to explain what was happening.
You can view the details of the event in the PDF located on the right-hand side.
Background
St George has recently purchased the Hammersmith Embankment site, which has planning permission for an office-led mixed use scheme. Given Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s emphasis on the delivery of new homes in the borough, St George intend to bring forward proposals for a residential led mixed use scheme. The aim is to design a riverside development of high quality, which is in keeping with the setting and well integrated with the surrounding area.
