Bromley-by-Bow North Pre-planning Application Exhibition

The local community was invited to attend a public exhibition of the regeneration proposals for the Bromley-by-Bow North area on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 April 2011 at the Kingsley Hall Community Centre. The exhibition was organised by John Thompson & Partners on behalf of the Housing Associations East Thames Group and Southern Housing Group ahead of the planning application to be submitted in Summer 2011.

East Thames Group and Southern Housing Group, as significant land owners within the area are keen to play a central role in the regeneration of this strategic East London site. This is not only crucial to the wider redevelopment of the Bromley-by-Bow area, but also helps to facilitate the overall redevelopment of the Three Mills regeneration area and the Lower Lea Valley.

The Vision for the site is to replace existing derelict and underutilised former warehouse, storage and light industrial space with a high quality mixed use development, comprising a range of employment space and mixed tenure homes in keeping with aspirations for the area as set out by the Council & the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation’s Land Use and Design Brief for the site.

The exhibition was open to everybody and provided an opportunity to view the proposals for the site and leave comments. Members of the design team and representatives from East Thames Group and Southern Housing Group were on hand to talk through the proposals and answer questions.
