Having completed his planning degree at the University of Manchester, Leigh spent the next eight years working in the banking sector. During this time, he carried out long term internships at URBED (Urbanism, Environment & Design) where he was involved in a number of community engagement projects and co-founded two community greening groups.
Leigh joined JTP as a Community Planning Assistant and supports the practice’s Community Planning processes, working with communities and stakeholders to build shared Visions for masterplanning projects and regeneration strategies. His recent projects include organising Community Planning Weekends for Badshot Lea and Kennett Garden Village.
Outside of work Leigh continues his involvement with community greening groups, helping to create better environments through sustainable gardening and improving social well-being. When not saving the world, he can be found in the kitchen with his expensive knives, cooking everything from Japanese dumplings to Swedish meatballs to Mexican chilli.
