Senior Arch. Assistant
Laura is a senior architectural assistant with over eight years’ placemaking experience in the UK and internationally. She enjoys working across the scales of urban design and architecture and has a keen interest in urban regeneration.
Laura was a key member of the team that led a collaborative design process and subsequently gained planning approval for Brunel Street Works, an exemplary mixed-use quarter in Canning Town, London.
Laura is passionate about creating places that work for people and collaborative planning which puts people at the heart of a participatory design process. She participated in the Community Planning Weekend for the Central Winchester Regeneration area and played a key role in writing the Supplementary Planning Document, as well as ongoing engagement thereafter.
Her international experience includes two years in JTP’s Shanghai studio where she focused on strategic masterplanning projects and supported the Charrette processes run by the practice. Her notable projects included the competition-winning Hangzhou Future City and a new town centre on Changzhi Island in Zhoushan.
Outside of the studio Laura likes to stay active and enjoys yoga, hiking and travelling.
